Center for citizenship and identity studies

Our mission is to conduct comprehensive studies of transformations of public sphere caused by globalization. The Center’s ongoing research programs are interrelated with educational process targeted at training new generation of academics and experts.

Main Activities:

- organizing roundtables, research workshops and conferences at the national and global level;
- development of innovative training courses for Master's degree and postgraduate students as well as re-training courses for high-school teaching staff;
- training courses for qualified experts of the high school and political and public organizations;
- publishing of educational and scientific literature.

A first UK helpline for victims of Islamophobia is being set up amid concerns that incidents are not being reported or properly categorised

There’s a tricky situation about controversial website set up by Geert Wilders's far-right Freedom Party, which consists different kinds of complains about east and central Europeans living and working in the Netherlands. The Dutch prime minister was invited to break the silence and explain his government’s position in front of the parliament. Anyway, he refused and it seems that the broader European public will make up its mind on which side he stands.
